Dogs on the Go

I read and intersting article in the local paper the other day. It was about Pets at Marinas.

Basically it talks about people and their pets and how they made special accomadations for them on their boats, from litter boxes to life perservers. People, boats, and their pets seem to make a great fit togather.

A couple from Portsmouth, (Ducan and Jeanmie Ingraham) took their dog, Princess Grace, a 6 pound Maltese, spent 10 months aboard the couple's 47' sailboat during a trip to the Bahamas. As always all owners who take pets on their boats safety is first. Life Perservers for their pets is a must and they keep a close eye on them all the time.

Jane and Richard Goulston say that their two dogs, Daphine 6, and Lucy 3, are secured on leashes on the dock and on deck, unless they are under way and on calm water, even than a life perserver is a must. These two Minature Dachsunds love to hang out in the galley, which is furnished with their beds, toys, and treats, basically everything to keep them happy and healthy.

This just goes to show how much dogs have became such a important part of the family and make our lives so much better.

Please send us some picturres of you and your pet on boats, hanging around at the marina or shore, or just doing anything dogs like to do and we would love to post them on our website at www.doggonegoodstuff.com Please send them to pictures@doggonegoodstuff.com
