AKC/Eukanuba National Championship Dog Show
Approximately 2,500 dogs, traveling from 50 states and 16 countries will be competing for top dog honors at the 2006 AKC/Eukanuba dog show. They will be competing for a total of $225,000 in prize money.
The dog show will be held on December 2nd and 3rd 2006 in Long Beach, Californa. The AKC Invitational and the AKC National Obedience Invitational will be held at the same time.
You can watch the dog show on Animal Planet and Discovery Channel at 8pm on both nights. Animal Planet will air highlights of Agility Invitational on February 11, 2007.
The dog show is expecting 25,000 spectators plus millions of TV viewers. A total of $225,000 in prize money will be awarded with, Best in Show winning $50,000 and Breeder of Best in Show being awarded $15,000.
164 youngsters ages 9-18 will also be competing in the Junior Showmanship catagory. These youngsters have met high academic standards and achieved success in the ring in order to compete.
