Remember to keep your pet safe during the Holidays

Since the Holiday Season has started remember to keep safety in mind when it comes to your pet. Please keep this in mind:

Chocolate is a big item around the Holidays and we as humans enjoy it but, it can cause toxicity in dogs. So keep that chocolate in a safe place away from pets.

Holidays also are a time when people bring many types of plants into their homes. Keep in mind that poinsettias, mistletoe, rhododendron, and oleander, the latter of which is extremely toxic, can be harmful to your pets. Keep all plants safely away from your pets reach.

Decorations are another point of concern. Tinsel can be harmful as pets are attracted to it and it is not digest able. Glass ornaments can break and cause all sorts of problems for your pet. Keep your pet in mind as you decide on all decorations. A little common sense will go a long way.

Table scraps are also something to keep in mind. We all love to give our pets treats but, you can easily upset your dogs stomach with this type of treats.

By using a little common sense you and your pet(s) can enjoy a safe and happy Holiday.
